Our Story

Welcome to Rockabye!

 

Rockabye was founded in 2003 by Caryn Mawkes, who brought with her 10 years of early childhood teaching experience, Rockabye was born from a vision and a deep love for creating a family-friendly home away from home. Caryn's passion for nurturing young minds has been the foundation of our centre.

 

A key part of what makes Rockabye such a special place is our manager, Louise Sladen.   Louise has worked alongside Caryn for the past 22 years, and their long-standing friendship, expertise in the field, and shared passion for early learning have truly shaped the heart of Rockabye. Today, we are affectionately known as "The Rockabye Family, where children, parents, and teachers come together to foster a genuine sense of belonging.

 

Caryn and Louise take immense pride in the connections and relationships they've built within the community. Rockabye has earned the respect of parents who have witnessed their children grow and develop under their caring and trusting wing.

 

Our team of dedicated and passionate teachers are carefully chosen for their unique qualities. Each member is committed to making a difference in the lives of your young children as they embark on their early learning journey.
